Japanese literature has been one of my favorite to read, they all have in common an element I still cannot express it in words. These elements are a mix of nostalgic, soft and mystery. These elements grasped my attention and made me addicted to reading Japanese novels. I would like to share you the ones that touched my heart. Whenever I hold one of them in my hand I get a flashback of the scenes the book described, the street the character walked by, the sadness they felt and the joy. Of Couse there are so many more books I enjoyed reading but theses have a special place in my heart.
- Goodbye Tsugumi – Yoshimoto Banana
- Never let me go – Kazou Ishiguro
- Totto-chan – Kuro Yanagi
- The housekeeper and the Professor – Yoko Ogawa
What are you favorite books? I’m always looking for a new book to read, so if you have any recommendation feel free to share them with me.J
I have Never Let Me Go in my TBR. How’s it?

Just found your blog – thank you for this and all of your book posts! I’ve read the first two, and I’ll add the second to my list right away. My personal #1 favorite book ever is A Soldier of the Great War by Mark Helprin – so heartrendingly beautiful! His short stories are great too. I also like Remains of the Day by Ishiguro for its sensitivity.
